The purpose of this journal (EURASIA. RIVISTA DI STUDI GEOPOLITICI) devoted to geopolitical studies is to promote, encourage and disseminate research and science within the national and international geopolitical scientific community, and to raise awareness of the political, intellectual, military, economic and information context on Eurasian issues.
The perspective of EURASIA does not only correspond to international relations stricto sensu, but it also implies the influence exerted on the past and present history and on future scenarios by geopolitical “representations” and by the cultural and spiritual relationship among the peoples inhabiting the Eurasian continental mass.
THE EURASIAN SPIRITUAL UNITY
Although EURASIA-JGS does not represent any particular academic point of view and neither it adopts any specific or preferential methodological approach in order to investigate and understand the geopolitical events, it has the ambition to put to the attention of scholars, scientists, mass media operators, policy makers, on the importance of Eurasian spiritual unity (an expression coined by Italian tibetologist Giuseppe Tucci), just as this unity always expressed itself in many and varied cultural forms.
THE ADVANCEMENT OF GEOPOLITICS
The awareness of Eurasian spiritual unity constitutes an innovative and decisive factor for the advancement of geopolitics of the twenty-first century (the era of the Continents), as an alternative to the controlled, restrictive, “ideological” and, therefore, a-scientific theories, such as “clash of civilizations” or “melting-pot”, that so much confusion and damage have created both within the scientific investigation and in practical applications.
ANALYTICAL CRITERIA – FUTURE SCENARIOS
Eurasia Journal of Geopolitical Studies presents – in addition to geopolitical analysis, the critique of dominant doctrines and the proposal of hypothetical future scenarios – articles, essays and studies showing ideas, methods and results gained in the various fields of ethnography, history of religions, psychology of peoples and collective identity, morphology of history, sociology, economics, political science, communication science.
GEO-POLITICS – GEO-ECONOMICS – GEO-FINANCE – GEO-STRATEGY
Eurasia JGS proposes geo-economic and geo-finance studies and analysis, in order to identify the processes underlying the economic and financial strategies on a global scale (both of the dominant nations and the major economic powers) and find opportunities that may arise for the most vulnerable nations.
Another topic: security, interpreted according to the criteria of geo-strategy.
